What actually comes in a delivery?
Every month: six double-sided sheets of smooth, high-quality writing paper illustrated with a surprise monthly theme, two coordinating envelopes, and a monthly topic with prompts and inspiration to help you begin.
How much does it cost?
$180 for a year of membership — twelve deliveries, which works out at $15 a month. Or $300 for You & a Penpal: two full memberships, two addresses, $150 each. Shipping is always free.
When will my delivery arrive?
Deliveries go out around the first of each month. We’ll email you when yours ships.
Can I pause or skip a month?
Write to us and we’ll hold your deliveries for as long as you need. Your membership extends by the same amount, so you never lose a delivery you’ve paid for — useful if letters are stacking up unwritten.
Does it renew automatically?
Yes — a membership renews each year so your deliveries don’t simply stop. You can switch that off whenever you like, and we’ll always write to you three weeks before a renewal, so a charge is never a surprise. Switching it off keeps every delivery you’ve already paid for; it only stops the next year beginning.
Can I get a refund partway through the year?
Before your first delivery ships, yes — changed your mind in the gap between joining and your first envelope arriving? Tell us and we’ll refund you in full. Nothing has been printed for you yet.
Once your first delivery is on its way, we’re not able to refund the year. We’re a small studio — each month’s paper is designed, printed and paid for well ahead of the day it reaches you, so your year is already in motion long before you see it.
If you’d like to stop, just tell us and we’ll switch off auto-renewal so you’re never charged again. We’ll happily keep sending the deliveries you’ve already paid for — or stop, if you’d rather. If something arrives damaged or goes astray, that’s a different matter entirely and we’ll always put it right.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes — choose “a gift for a friend” when you join, and they get the full year. Gift memberships never auto-renew, so your friend is never asked for a card and never charged. If you’d both like deliveries, You & a Penpal at $300 covers the two of you.
Where do you ship?
We ship within the USA only.
My delivery arrived damaged. What now?
Send us a note with a photo and we’ll put it right. Paper and post don’t always agree with each other, and that’s not your problem to absorb.
Can I buy past collections?
Yes — a collection reaches the Shoppe sixty days after members receive it, in limited quantities. The current and coming months stay a surprise. Members pay member prices and never pay shipping.
