It all started with a letter
Hi, I’m Hannah. I paint watercolor stationery inspired by the seasons and the beauty of nature—and I believe handwritten letters have something beautiful to offer us.
One day, a friend sent me a video about analog swaps. Instead of texting her a reply, I decided to write her a letter!
Writing that letter was an amazing experience. I didn’t expect it to affect me so deeply. The tactile experience of putting pen to paper felt nostalgic. I felt myself slowing down. When finished, I felt peaceful, calm, and refreshed. I felt a kind of clarity of mind that carried over into the rest of my day.
That moment inspired me to start the Vintage Letter Writing Society.
The practice of letter writing is a vehicle for creating moments of slowness, reflection, and genuine connection in a world that rarely slows down. We believe meaningful things—like relationship building—take time and intentionality.
Each month’s stationery is a fresh, hand-painted design inspired by the seasons, nature, and nostalgia. You can expect bountiful botanicals and lovely landscapes, but each month’s theme remains a surprise until it arrives in your mailbox.
“The practice of letter writing is a vehicle for creating moments of slowness, reflection, and genuine connection in a world that rarely slows down.”
My hope is that receiving your delivery of surprise stationery each month will go beyond the delight of seeing something in your mailbox. I hope it prompts you to slow down, reflect, take time for meaningful communication, and deeper connection with the people you love.
Sincerely,
Hannah
